anniversary

i dont really have an exact date for my anniversary with my boyfriend, so 4 years ago, we decided to fix the date as our anniversary;p
therefore, 31st July become our anniversary...we started our relationship somewhere in June and July of 2000...today is the 5th anniversary..i just called him and wish him "happy anniversary" as we are 600km apart...
actually we never celebrate our anniversary, we only call and wish each other Happy Anniversary...(most of the time i am the one who mention about it 1st and he will just said: "oh ya..today is our anniversary...happy anniversary dear:)
I used to feel upset and disappointed about it.
He is not a romantic person...many times, this issue hit me badly as i like guy who is romantic, and i always wish to have a romantic boyfriend, who will give you tonnes of sweet surprises...
However, my relationship with him taught me a lesson...
Romantic is not the most important quality that i should find in a serious relationship....
All these years he has been treating me very good. He never missed to call me everyday, he always make sure I am okay, he is the person that i will call whenever I have problems, he is the person that i would like to share my hapiness with, he always help me to take care of my parents...most importantly, he gives me my own space, he give me the sense of secure (that he will always be there to support me), to give me strengh to chase my dreams of life...
I appreciate the care, supports and respect that he is giving to me...
Now, I don't mind if he can't remember the anniversary because it doesnt really matter....as long as he is nice to me in all the other 364 days:)

Hey woman, guys are like that!! Same goes with my husband. I always wish for a guy who is romantic...give me flowers and remember my birthday. hmmppp....my hubby can forget my birthday too. But then again, as long as he is good to you, it doesnt really matter, rite?
